Books editing
In my role as Stylist's books editor, I've had the chance to read, share and highlight some of the best new books of the past 15 years.
I've interviewed everyone from Marian Keyes to Marlon James, appeared on the Booker prize podcast and The Zoe Ball Bookclub on ITV and hosted Fane interviews. I've judged the Costa and Bookseller awards and helped to uncover breakout authors including Sophie Mackintosh and Kate Griffin as part of Stylist fiction competitions.
Book projects and beyond
Building on this in-depth experience and my background in production and subbing, I now work on developmental and copy editing projects with the Orion, Trapeze and Headline teams and have undertaken sensitivity reads for Penguin.
Journalist and writer Helen Russell, whose forthcoming book I helped to edit, describes me as: “Smart, funny and just 'gets it'. A pleasure to work with.”
I love working on these early drafts supporting authors (and their publishers) to realize their visions and would love to collaborate with you too.
